SnapperNet to support Meraki
Distributor to give "cloud managed networking" solutions voice in New Zealand
By Reseller News Staff, Auckland | Monday, 17 September 2012SnapperNet has signed a deal with Meraki to provide marketing and logistic support for the vendor in New Zealand.
According to a statement released by SnapperNet, Meraki sells enterprise wireless access points, switches, and security appliances, and has been listed as “visionary” brand in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Wired and Wireless LAN.
According to a spokesperon, the deal is a marketing and support arrangement, with SnapperNet acting as Meraki's local presence in New Zealand as it builds brand awareness.
Meraki is targeting its solutions at large, geographically dispersed organisations, such as retail chains, or businesses where BYOD is taking off. According to the statement, Meraki's cloud management piece removes the necessity of an enterprise to install a controller appliance in conjunction with wifi hardware.
