SnapperNet and Opengear ink deal

Increase in sales expected for New Zealand

SnapperNet and Opengear have signed a new distribution agreement, strengthening the already existing ties between the two companies.

Bob Waldie, CEO of Opengear, and Tony Merenda, director and vice president of engineering, were both co-foundrs of SnapGear, acquired by McAfee, which SnapperNet was a distributor for.

Opengear has also recently appointed a new ANZ business development manager, Brendan Baker, as part of its expansion plans for the region.

“Opengear are looking forward to expanding our New Zealand sales through this distribution arrangement with SnapperNet. We expect our new range of Advanced Console Management devices, Cellular Routers, and Secure Device Servers to be popular with SnapperNet’s customers,” says Brendan.

“Having the Opengear range in our portfolio again will complete our out-of-band management and access and control solution offering to resellers,” says SnapperNet director Richard Paul. ”Our resellers now have all the tools they need to simplify control of complex distributed systems and networks.”
