Skill requirements delay Novell recruitment
Hunts country lead and sales representative
By Amanda Sachtleben, Auckland | Monday, 04 October 2010Novell aims to fill two key local roles - a country lead/partner executive and a commercial and government sales representative, by the end of October.
Asia Pacific vice president of alliance and channel sales, John Donovan, says the vendor “remains absolutely committed” to the recruitment, but is finding it difficult to find suitably-qualified candidates.
He adds the company is seeking people with a specific mix of skills to fill the two positions.
“We need people who are experienced in working with large New Zealand system integrator partners and we want someone that has an understanding of current and future Novell technology and the specific needs of customers, particularly government customers,” he says.
Donovan is set to take up a role as VMware channel director later this year.
