Simms International's New Zealand business has added a range of Kingston products to its books, including system-specific memory modules, the Data Traveller range of USB drives and a range of SSD drives.

It has also secured a local partnership to distribute Italian-based Tucano’s PC bags and accessories.

Simms' local managing director Paul Johnston says it currently has a limited range of Kingston products, and has brought in some samples of the notebook bags. It will carry the full Tucano range here, he says.

Simms International is a long-standing Kingston distributor in the UK, where the company is headquartered, and in the second of its three branches - Australia.

Tucano appointed Simms in Australia in January 2009.

Locally, Kingston is also distributed by Ingram Micro and Synnex.

Simms began as a memory distributor in the UK (taking its name from the acronym for single inline memory modules) and grew on the back of momentum in the category.
