Pitney Bowes New Zealand has appointed Brett Roberts to the newly-created role of director of new technologies, the company announced.

Roberts has over 20 years of technology industry experience in a variety of sales, marketing and leadership roles and is also actively involved in the New Zealand technology entrepreneur community as an advisor, mentor and head of Silicon Valley ‘connector’ Wharf42.

He held several roles over his 12 years with Microsoft New Zealand, most recently as national technology officer, following which he co-founded strategy consultancy Business IQ.

“I’m thrilled to have someone of Brett’s calibre join our team here in New Zealand," says Pitney Bowes New Zealand General Manager, Misti Landtoop, in the statement. "Brett’s business and technology experience coupled with his entrepreneurial approach made him an ideal choice to bring innovative new offerings to the New Zealand market."

Pitney Bowes says is in a transformation and growth period which Roberts will play a crucial role in by helping identify new business and partnership opportunities.
