Oracle opens regional datacentre

New datacentre in Australia to serve regional cloud customers

Oracle has opened a second datacentre in Australia to meet demand from regional customers for cloud based services, the company has announced.

The new datacentre will offer additional Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings to customers wanting to keep data onshore. Customers and partners will have subscription-based self-service access to platform services and Oracle Fusion applications.

The datacentre will be housed at Equinix and all offerings will be managed by Oracle staff.
