Rugged tablet distributor Global Communications has signed on UniStrong to be its sole distribution partner in China.

According to a statement released by Global Communications, UniStrong’s network of reseller partners was intended to strengthen Global's presence in APAC. The company also takes Carpo, Armor and MobileDemand rugged tablets to Asia Pacific markets.

“UniStrong’s network will definitely provide us with the market penetration needed to reach our full sales potential," Global Communications’ managing director Paul Scoble says in the statement. "Global Communications has considered many distribution partners and we are confident that UniStrong’s proven business and customer approach will help us leverage our position in the rugged mobility market,” says .

Global Communications in the last year signed several deals to bring rugged tablets overseas, with business in Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia. The Cambridge based company worked with about 20 resellers in New Zealand as of last year, and in August hired a business development manager to grow its reseller and end user business.
