Microsoft debuts Dynamics NAV 2013

Microsoft has rolled out its latest ERP software in New Zealand, one of 15 countries the vendor is debuting its latest Dynamics edition.
According to a statement released by the company, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 is the vendor's "first cloud-cantric ERP tool to be delivered via Windows Azure", with a simple interface, and business intelligence and reporting tools, aimed at SMBs.
"Dynamics NAV 2013 leverages Microsoft's wider suite of business technologies, such as Business Intelligence (BI), SharePoint, Lync and cloud services to deliver the next level of ERP product to our users," says Lindsay Zwart, Dynamics lead in New Zealand, in the statement
She says the interface is faster, with greater web browser capability. A source quoted in the release states that the new Web Client in NAV 2013 allows his company to extend existing functionality to users in the field.
Microsoft did not make clear why New Zealand was one of the first countries to debut the product.
