Imperva and Katana Technologies sign partnership
Security specialist to strengthen Imperva's New Zealand business
By Reseller News Staff, Auckland | Thursday, 20 May 2010Katana Technologies has signed a reseller agreement with data security vendor Impreva to strengthen its local presence.
Imperva Asia Pacific vice president Stree Naidu says it plans to leverage Katana Technologies’ existing vendor relationships and expertise in the security sector.
“Our strategy for New Zealand will be to find the right partners, like Katana, with the expertise to work with Imperva's technologies, rather than set up a full-on distribution model until we create awareness of our offerings.”
Katana Technologies’ CEO Steve Rielly set up the company recently and signed Palo Alto Networks as a partner.
Rielly says Imperva rounds out its technology portfolio. “This complements what we have been doing with Palo Alto. There is a good fit between the two security vendors, so now Katana can go to market with a more complete offering for protecting critical information within an organisation.”
