Gen-i and Cisco team up for ReadyCloud
Cisco's Hosted Collaboration Solution arrives in New Zealand, marketed as Gen-i's ReadyCloud CollaborationBy Reseller News Staff, Auckland | Tuesday, 12 February 2013
Gen-i and Cisco have teamed up to bring Cisco's Hosted Collaboration Solution into the New Zealand market, marketed as Gen-i's ReadyCloud Collaboration.
The companies say ReadyCloud Collaboration supports businesses in developing an integrated, flexible, and highly secure work environment by simplifying and reducing the cost of collaboration, remote working and BYOD. The solution also reduces the cost for businesses by enabling them to pay for what they need, on a per month subscription basis.
ReadyCloud Collaboration is fully managed by Gen-i and hosted locally in Gen-i's Tier-3 datacentres.
“Teaming with Cisco represents an important milestone in our drive to bring innovative new services developed by proven global technology providers into the New Zealand market," says Gen-i's general manager of Operations and Marketing Jo Allison.
According to Cisco's country manager Geoff Lawrie, "ReadyCloud Collaboration offers New Zealand customers a new way of thinking about employee collaboration in an increasingly mobile world". “Hosted Collaboration Solutions offer the latest of everything with the ability to turn services on and off as needed while creating an environment which supports closer teamwork, faster decision making and the ability to work from anywhere," he adds.
ReadyCloud Collaboration will be showcased at Gen-i's 2013 ICT conference, which is being held across 12 locations around the country between February 19 and March 21.
But too late I suspect. The horse has bolted on this one with the majority of employees already using these kind of services via their own devices.
