Datacraft New Zealand and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) have signed a three-year telecommunications services contract.

According to Datacraft, it represents the company’s most significant end to end telecommunications win since being awarded the one.govt telecommunications networking contract in 2009.

The vendor will provide NZTE with a high bandwidth WAN offering, mobile services, 0800 services, a direct dial interface, unified communications and enterprise telephony infrastructure. NZTE will also be provided with a web portal that offers access to real time information about its telecommunications environment.

Datacraft aims to deliver a range of benefits for NZTE, including cost savings, improved performance and a consolidated telecommunications model. The project will also help NZTE provide improved services to their internal customers.

Other companies involved with the contract include Vodafone who will supply mobile and fixed line capability, FX Networks will supply the core fibre backbone while Cisco will supply improved audio and video conferencing capabilities through Unified MeetingPlace.

“Securing this contract is recognition that Datacraft is a top notch provider of end-to-end telecommunications solutions,” says Datacraft managing director Robin Hartendorp.

“The win also illustrates that Datacraft can facilitate industry collaboration for the benefit of the end user. We are now well on our journey of providing Communications as a Service (CaaS).”
