Appointment comes during period of "record growth"By Reseller News Staff, Auckland | Thursday, 22 September 2011
Michael Bosnar has been appointed ANZ managing director for AppSense, the company has announced.
Bosnar will work closely with the AppSense VP and GM EMEA/APAC Tony Clarke, as well as the global executive team. The new MD has 20 years experience in the IT industry in the ANZ, having previously worked as sales director ANZ for Sybase, as well as having been senior director of channels, alliances and commercial sales for Computer Associates in the Pacific region.
“Michael brings to the role a wealth of industry experience having specialised in growing and managing leading software organisations in the region. His reputation and relationships, his success managing geographically dispersed sales teams and his strong background in channel management makes him ideally placed to lead the AppSense business in Australia and New Zealand,” says Clarke.
“As companies look to transform their desktop infrastructure so they can manage the user and not devices, then the potential for user virtualisation technology is only going to increase. To be driving its growth in Australia and New Zealand from the seat of an industry leader is exciting and the kind of challenge I’m well primed for,” says Bosnar.
The appointments is made when the company is “in a period of record growth”, according to Clarke. ”Adoption of user virtualisation technology is rapidly accelerating across all industries, as businesses realise the benefits and cost efficiencies it can bring. Michael’s experience in business management in Australia and New Zealand puts us in a great position to further our reputation as a ground-breaking technology company.”
