Altech takes on Cyber Snipa peripherals

Extends relationship in Australia

By Amanda Sachtleben, Auckland | Thursday, 19 June 2008

Altech’s New Zealand business is bringing Cyber Snipa gaming mice and keyboards to this country in an extension of its relationship across the Tasman.

Cyber Snipa is the gaming brand of Flexiglow, whose R&D office is in Sydney with sales and marketing done from Hong Kong.

“Australia has had the agency for a while and it has been doing quite well over there. We’ve already brought some [Cyber Snipa] products in and there has been interest already,” says Altech’s New Zealand head Johnson Koo.

The company intends to offer the whole Cyber Snipa range in the long-term. As well, it may introduce other agencies represented by Altech in Australia.

“It just depends if other distributors have the agency for other products and we won’t bring them in if they do,” says Koo. “It’s just a matter of talking to the vendors and making sure we have the support and everything in place, before we bring them in.”
