Former HP Imaging & Printing Group general manager Andrew Seerden has been appionted chief operating officer (COO) at Revera, with a view to overall management of the infrastructure services company longer-term.

Revera co-founder and CEO Roger Cockayne says the appointment of a COO is part of a succession plan which will allow him to "taper operational management responsibilities and focus on strategic initiatives."

“Fellow co-founder Wayne Norrie and I have grown the business and senior leadership team to the point that we have the luxury of relinquishing day-to-day management control,” Cockayne says. “[Seerden’s appointment is a key milestone and provided the final impetus for the positional changes.”

Seerden previously held a range of senior management roles at HP and Compaq, and joins Revera after a period of management consulting. At Compaq Computer, he was director of the Compaq Access Business Group, which included all business and consumer PCs and portable products, and director of consumer and educational sales.

He was recently elected to the role of chairperson on the Board of Trustees for starjam.org, a local non-for-profit organisation for young people with disabilities.
