Imperva appoints M.Tech as ANZ distributor
M.Tech to provide Imperva's SecureSphere data security suite and database firewall offerings
By Reseller News Staff, Auckland | Monday, 02 November 2009Security and network-specialist M.Tech is now data security provider Imperva's ANZ distributor. Reseller News earlier reported that M.Tech aimed to establish itself as the local Imperva distributor.
M.Tech will offer Imperva’s SecureSphere data security suite and database firewalls, along with support for Asia Pacific customers.
"[M.Tech's] relatively recent presence in ANZ will assure us of top mindshare in helping to generate business," says Imperva's Asia Pacific vice president Stree Naidu. "Having a single distributor will allow us to leverage M.Tech’s considerable business development capabilities to the fullest.”
M.Tech regional business manager for Australia and New Zealand, Paul Lim, says Imperva is able to combat the growing threat of theft of credit card numbers and passwords, through poorly secured web application servers and databases, and to meet strict compliance requirements.
“With its rich security solution’s features, Imperva is poised to lead in this space where other current security solutions are insufficient to deliver full protection,” claims Lim.
He says Imperva's offerings inspect complex, layer 7 web application traffic, such as XML, and identify and stop threats before attacks are executed. Elements of its database protection suite include a firewall, backed by tools for auditing and vulnerability assessment.
Lim says its will offer regular partner enablement training around SecureSphere.
M.Tech Group is part of Multi-Chem Group in Singapore and was established in 2002.
