Local IT distributor MPA has partnered with global information security company SafeNet.

SafeNet has operated for more than 25 years and specialises in encryption, digital certification and authentication.

MPA managing director Roly Smoldon says it saw SafeNet’s offerings as an excellent fit with its high-level security model.

He adds that although SafeNet has local customers, it was being serviced from Australia with support from Scientific Software & Systems and Datacom.

“These [local] customers include banks which use it as part of the global banking clearance systems and some government agencies,” says Smoldon.

SafeNet ANZ regional sales manager Vince Lee says the partnership will make its product more accessible to distribution channels.

“Our strategy over the short to medium-term is to work with MPA in building a team of professionals to serve the New Zealand channel and customer needs.”
