Apple tells resellers 'make room for more iPads this September'
Apple has told its authorised resellers in Europe to dedicate more floor space to the iPad
By Karen Haslam, London | Thursday, 23 August 2012Apple has told its authorised resellers in Europe to dedicate more floor space to the iPad. The company has told its Apple Authorised Resellers that they have a deadline of 12 September to complete the work, hinting that the new iPad mini could launch soon.
The 12 September deadline has lead to speculation that the iPad mini may arrive in September, alongside the new iPhone. Other reports have suggested a launch of the iPad mini in October, however.
Resellers have also told MacRumors that Mac Pro and Mac mini desktop Macs are being removed from stores and iPod displays are being trimmed back.
The changes have been rolled out over the past three months and are thought to better reflect the revenue share that the iPad brings in.
New reports suggest that the widely speculated iPad mini will look like a big iPod touch, with thin side bezels, separate volume buttons and a microphone on the back.
