Apple recruiting for 15th Australian Apple Store
Apple looks set to open its 15th store in Australia. The company is advertising for staff for its first store in Canberra
By Karen Haslam, London | Monday, 09 July 2012Apple looks set to open its 15th store in Australia. The company is advertising for staff for its first store in Canberra.
The company has not confirmed the location of the store, or in fact whether a store is set to open in the city.
The four advertisements can be found on Australian Job Search site Seek, as indicated by The Age report.
One describes the opportunity for a: Apple Retail Genius -- New Store Opening -- Canberra.
The role promises to "have you feeling inspired again". It also promises that the successful applicants will "be truly supported and offered continuous career development to see you grow, the sky's the limit!"
The description seems a little dated, however, it notes Apple's "leading products such as the number one music player in the world, iPod."
A report in the New York Times recently criticized Apple's for underpaying and overworking its retail staff. However, Apple has recently given US Apple Store workers rises.
